Article 28—You have a right to learn and go to school.
Last Monday in our weekly assembly we raised awareness of Article 28 from the UNCRC Rights of the Child: Every child up to the age of 18 years old has the right to a good quality education and should be encouraged to go to school to the highest level they can.
As staff at the school we have the duty to ensure that the education we provide is of the highest standard which we endeavour to do every day.
For children there are responsibilities too which go hand in hand with their rights and these are: To work hard, come to school on time, and aim to be the best they can be in their work, behaviour, and attitudes to school. I know that we can rely on your support as always, to encourage your child in his/her responsibility to make our school a place where every child achieves.
