Welcome

Croeso i Crist y Brenin
A very warm welcome to Christ the King Primary School website. Christ the King is a vibrant school where children are enthusiastic and motivated to achieve their full potential. We believe that each child is unique and special and we strive to ensure that our curriculum meets the differing needs of all our children both now and for the future.

At Christ the King we are deeply committed to promoting a strong relationship between home, school and Parish as we feel that this partnership is the key to producing the best Catholic education for your child and forming the confident, caring citizens of the future. Ours is a happy school where pupils enjoy learning in a positive climate that fosters self esteem, kindness and respect. We believe in and live by our Mission Statement: “learning to love, loving to learn”.

Christ the King has a talented and dedicated team who work hard to reach high standards in all areas of school life. We have high expectations of our pupils both academically and in the way that they behave. We always challenge them to be the very best that they can be.

Choosing the right school for your child is a difficult decision and we warmly welcome you to visit us and see us at work, play and in prayer. We recognise that, as parents, you are your child’s first educators and you are always welcome and encouraged to share in the life of the school.

Through our website, we aim to provide a high degree of communication between school, parents and community. Here you will find detailed information about the school and its curriculum. Photographs and samples of the children’s work will be regularly added. We hope you will find this site useful and enjoy exploring this window into the daily life of Christ the King School.

We are a Catholic School and we support the mission of the Church. Our mission that acts as a benchmark from which all activity in the school is based is clear.
Learning to love - Loving to learn
We are:
- A worshipping community that holds and celebrates Christ as the centre of its faith and life.
- A learning community that values and fosters the learning of the whole community.
- A respecting community that follows the teaching of Christ to love our neighbour as ourselves.
- A welcoming community that recognises and welcomes the presence of Christ through our respect and love for one another.
- A serving community that enables its pupils to serve each other, their families and wider world.
