Religious Education during Lockdown

Throughout the world people are experiencing unprecedented times, schools are closed and teachers are having to find different ways to support, encourage and help learners .

At Christ the King we know how wonderful our  pupils and families are. It is at these times that we are more united than ever as a school community.

As a Catholic school we have faith in God and we know how powerful prayer can be.

We have continued to support our pupils with weekly Come and See Curriculum learning and even though we can no longer meet for our liturgies and prayer times we have looked for  ways to support our pupils faith journeys. Each night our pupils are asked to light a candle at 7 pm and say our end of day school prayer. By doing this we are uniting not only as a school community but also as a parish community.

On Sunday 17th May at 10 am Canon Isaac will celebrate an online mass for the pupils of Christ the King.  Our pupils have been writing their own prayers to be shared during this mass. Please join us on the 17th to pray for all our school family, to give thanks for our wonderful key workers and to pray for people all over the world.

Our pupils have been posting letters, messages and jokes to our wonderful parish priests, we look forward to a time when we can be with them again.
