Home Learning Cinderella - We made fruit wands with repeated patterns , cleaned the house , made bonds to 10 necklaces for our party, cooked cakes, wrote sentences and made 3D party hats.
The Gingerbread Man - We have been so creative, we have made gingerbread boys and girls . We have completed STEM activities to make rafts to help the Gingerbread Man cross the river, some of these floated and Oh dear! Some sank ! We then decided to make a bridge to help him get across the river away from the fox 🦊. #Science and Technology In numeracy we have had lots of fun using a dice 🎲 to dress the Gingerbread Man , to use tally’s and to double numbers. #maths and numeracy We used lots of expression to retell the stories and we made up our own stories by changing the characters . We also had a live teams meeting so we could say hello to our friends . We loved it! We listened to a story Why We Can’t Hug. We are now sending messages and cards to Mrs Backhouse because we miss her and it will make her happy . What a great week in Reception!
