Monday 13th July
Well we made it to the end of a very tricky year! Well done everybody.
I am very proud of the effort our class has made to continue with learning whilst at home and for keeping yourselves and others safe by staying at home.
It has been a pleasure to see those of you that returned to school. You have grown into more mature, sensible and reliable pupils who worked to keep yourselves and others safe.
I am sure everyone is ready for the exciting move to Key Stage 2 when we return in September. Mrs Miles hopes that I will still be able to spend some time settling you into your new class in the first week back.
Remember you still have access to the home learning resources on our school website and Seesaw if you want to look over things during the holidays.
You might want to keep up with your Bug Club reading and Active Learn maths games too!
I am looking forward to celebrating our last few days of Year 2 this week and wish you all a very happy and restful summer holiday.
Have fun and take time to relax and play!

Thursday 28th May
Hello everyone! I hope you are all enjoying half term and taking some time to relax and play. Just a reminder that Mrs Keegan would like us to try the Pentecost activity and send a tweet to show what you have done @ctkprmcardiff.
I am also sending details of CAFOD's 'Summer of Hope' fundraising appeal. Have a look at this week's activities.
Keep enjoying the fresh air and sunshine!
** This week parents will receive an email from inviting them to Seesaw Families. **
Seesaw Families
Seesaw is a digital portfolio system that allows pupils to engage in learning activities and share their work with their teacher and families. The communication tools allow families to comment on student work and receive updates from teachers.
Pupils can add posts to their journals. Children can showcase the creative projects they've been working on in the classroom and now at home. This could include photos, artwork, videos, activities, notes, projects they have created in other apps, and more.
Families will be notified when there are new posts in their child's journal. They can view posts, add likes and comments to their child's work. Teachers will email you an invite in order to sign up.
Once you have signed up, you will need to download Seesaw Families onto a mobile device (phone, tablet, etc) or you can also access Seesaw Families via a desktop and laptop can be used to access Seesaw Families.
You can receive notification when:
Notifications can be switched off.
Remember this is for parents to view a child's work not another platform for the children to access.
Any problems or question please email Miss Jenkins.
1st April 2020
Well done to everyone for keeping up with your home learning! Look on the activities tab on SeeSaw for tasks that will help you learn this week's skills. You will need your parents to help with these. Ask them to read the instructions for each task to you. Also keep completing the learning set on our project grid.
This week's Learning Log has extra information, you may need help reading it.
If you need any more information or help setting your Seesaw or Hwb accounts at home, you can ask your parents to email me
WattsL13@hwbcymru.net
or they can email Miss Jenkins, our Digital Champion

Have a fantastic week with your families. Stay Safe! Stay at Home!
World Book Day 5th March 2020
Remember we are making a change to World Book Day at Christ the King. There will be no dressing up this year, we will be sharing books with our friends and meeting authors instead.
Could you choose a book from home that you have enjoyed and would feel happy to share with a friend in class by giving it to them as a gift?
Wrap the book and write a label describing the book. We will put the books into a lucky dip box so that we can all receive a new book at home time.
