AOLE LLC - For National Storytelling Week , we had bedtime stories read by Mrs Keegan and Cinderella. Our family joined us in class for our end of day story and our mummies and daddies read us their favourite childhood story ❤️📚📚
HOM and Peer Assessment - our friends help us to be like the woodpecker and spider 🕷️ . Don’t give up, get it right . We use our yippee yellow and green for growth pens to be the best we can be!
Pupil Voice- we are tidying up our outside classroom to get ready for the mechanics and sports area we asked for .
AOLE LLC and SCIENCE and TECH - We have learnt rhymes from the past . We learnt Sing a Song of Sixpence and helped the Queen make honey sandwiches. We even wrote instructions to help her.
AOLE LLC WELSH - We have used our knowledge of coins to buy some sweets in our Siop Losin.
AOLE Humanities and Sci and Tech -We are learning about toys from the past . We made bows and arrows in forest school .
AOLE Expressive - We used 2D shapes to create our own Piet Mondrian paintings . He was an artist from long ago .
AOLE HEALTH AND WELLBEING- Mae hi’n oer , we loved exploring our school grounds on a beautiful frosty morning .
AOLE NUMERACY- Maths is everywhere in Reception Classroom . We start the day with subitising and numeracy challenge .
AOLE - Science and Tech - We are learning how we grow and change over time . We had a special visit from Mrs Hughes and her baby . We compared what we can do now to when we were babies . We can walk , talk ,swim , climb , read and write our names .
AOLE - Humanities,Celebrating Chinese New Year 🧧 We made Chinese fans. We learnt yoga moves for the Chinese zodiac , made our own Chinese lanterns and tried some delicious Chinese noodles 🍜.
AOLE-LLC Our home story basket. We love choosing our book from the school library to read at home with some hot chocolate. 😋
AOLE HUMANITIES- we sorted items on a tree map of past and present. We compared toys and house items we use and items from long ago .
AOLE HUMANITIES /SCIENCE AND TECH - Dinosaurs 🦕 We had a wonderful virtual lesson from the National Museum of Wales . Louise showed us lots of dinosaurs fossils , fossils help us learn about dinosaurs . We also made our own dinosaur shape pictures and measured dinosaur’s using cubes. .

AOLE LLC - Handwriting Motorway- We are building up our hand muscles 💪 to be great writers.
Cross Curricular AOLE LNF /Science and Tech -We have been learning about stories that have been told since long ago . Our first story is the Gingerbread Man. We measured ingredients to make our own gingerbread, we played gingerbread numeracy games and we choose our own characters for our gingerbread stories.
AOLE HUMANITIES AND DCF - We are learning all about the past . We used our ICT skill to change photos of ourselves to black and white , just like long ago .
AOLE -Health and Well-being- we are enjoying our morning DO NOW activities.
Christmas songs and hot chocolate at forest school
Christmas 2022 in Reception- we wrote letters to Father Christmas 🎅 used bee bots to travelling the Jolly Christmas Postman route. We made Christmas hats , christingles , reindeer food, retold the Christmas story and made and wrote Christmas cards to our families.
AOLE Science and Tech -making birthday cards for Jesus . We used the paint tools to create a birthday picture and then recorded a message .
AOLE - we used our story book The Jolly Christmas Postman to plan a route and instruct beebots .
AOLE Humanities-Our First School Trip to St Fagans . We learnt all about Wales and how homes have changed over time . Did you know toilets used to be in the garden ! We had a lovely Welsh Christmas story , we saw a Christmas robin and Father Christmas 🤶 met us too!

AOLE HUMANITIES/ SCI and TECH Oh Na! We have a problem. We have to protect our planet. The world 🌎 is too hot, Santa’s workshop is melting ! We used the TASC wheel to organise our Oh Na problem . We even visited our caretaker Mr Peckham , to ask him for new recycling bins .
AOLE NUMERACY We explored properties of shapes . Can we make a circle ⭕️ with lollipop sticks ? Why is a square different to a rectangle?
AOLE Health and Well-being We love using the apparatus to keep fit and work as a team .
