Branch 4 We listened to the scripture of Jesus in the desert . We then made pancakes and discussed why Shrove Tuesday is important.
BRANCH 3 - We are making and decorating gift boxes for our families. We are thanking them for sharing the gift of love ❤️.
BRANCH 3 - We learnt about The Epiphany 👑and we found out that in other countries children leave out their shoes to receive gifts from the three kings . We took off our shoes, closed our eyes and surprise 😮 there was chocolate treat in our shoe . ❤️We are going to share other gifts with our friends this term, the gifts of friendship, laughter , kindness and patience. ❤️
REINDEER RUN 🎄- As a school we raised money during Advent for City Hospice . We had lots of fun walking with the rest of the school and especially our buddies , we are thinking of others during Advent. As a school we raised over £1900.
Nativity 2025
AOLE NUMERACY/RELIGION- We used 2D shapes to create a nativity scene . 🔴🔺🟪
Branch 2 Prophecy and Promise: I can talk about the shepherds role in the story of Christmas. Reception created some large loose parts art together as a class and in groups. We worked collaboratively to recreate the scene of the shepherds on the hill. We even wanted to include the "glory of God shining all around them!" as a great flash of light!
Reception created a beautiful individual response to the Nativity Story using loose parts. We discussed the story and were able to talk about the birth of Jesus. Branch 2: I can listen and respond to the story of Baby Jesus being born.
Branch 2 Prophecy and Promise - ✝️ Last week Reception began the listening to the Nativity story ⭐ we learned how the Angel Gabriel came to Mary to announce her good news! We spoke about how Mary and Joseph may have felt- how would we have felt? What did Mary say to the Angel Gabriel and to God? What might have happened if she or Joseph had said "no" to God? What will happen next in the story...? ⭐
Branch 2 Prophecy and Promise - we have been learning about Mary , we have looked at different images of Mary and created our own interpretations.
Branch 1 Creation and Covenant - We become part of Gods family through Baptism 💧💦
BRANCH 1 We went to explore our local woods . What a wonderful world 🌍 we live in . We need to look after it . ❤️

Branch 1 Creation and Covenant - We have been exploring our lovely school field and having fun in the leaves . We have learnt about Sofia the Sloth that our world is a gift from God and we need to take care of it. We collected any litter we found on the field. We are being stewards for our wonderful world 🌎❤️😊
